Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019
As we come to an end of the year 2018, it’s only appropriate to gaze back at where DynoDev, LLC began the year, where we are now, and what we are excited about in the upcoming year of 2019.
The journey started with the beginning stages of Catalio.
From a high level we had a road map, but the question we needed to answer was, “How are we going to follow the road map to delivering a product?”.
Agile was our savior. As mentioned in a previous blog, our team read the book SCRUM, The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time by Jeff Sutherland. The exciting part about our 2018 journey was that we had already began practicing the Agile Methodology. Agile was initially not as clear to us until we were able to read how and why Jeff Sutherland created this methodology. This method has dramatically changed the way we as team execute and deliver tasks at work. And has affected other parts of our lives too! If you haven’t had the opportunity to read this book. RUN down to your local book store to pick up a copy or HURRY UP and order a copy online with next day delivery. I am pretty sure it will change your life as well.
Catalio has come a long way in 2018.
We have hashed out topics on verbiage changes, app efficiency, App Exchange fees, and the process for publishing Catalio. It has all been a learning experience, but it has stretched us in ways that we never thought we could be stretched as we achieved our goals.
Learning process builders, custom objects, and Apex coding are only a few mountains that the team had to climb. We’ve also had to become acquainted with Jira, Confluence, Intercom, and Hootsuite. We went from Google Suite to Zoho. From Stride to Slack and Google Hangout and landing on Microsoft Teams. As you can see we try different technologies until we find what best fits our team needs. We not only use Agile — WE ARE AGILE. If it is not working we discontinue and move on to the next!
So in 2019 we are shooting for the moon and even if we miss, we’ll land in the stars. Nevertheless, each individual player on this team will have make a commitment to be faster, better, more organized, learn new skills, and so on to propel Dynamite Development to the moon.
Catalio is our first step on the ladder to the top and we hope that Catalio will meet your needs and spark feedback, so that we can continue to create brilliant apps for years to come.
