Importance of Capabilities ✍️
Keep Track of What and How Your Capabilities are Built
Do you ever get asked, “What applications and capabilities have been built inside our Salesforce Org?” I bet for most, that’s a daunting question, and one that would take quite a while to answer. It doesn’t have to be that way anymore.
Information at Your Fingertips
Catalio is an app inside your Salesforce organization that collects your important information in one location so that it can be easily and clearly communicated with the people connected to a given project. In some ways Catalio is like a rolodex of requirements for each project your team is working on.
The Road Map
“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. ‘Which road do I take?’ she asked. ‘Where do you want to go?’ was his response. ‘I don’t know,’ Alice answered. ‘Then,’ said the cat, ‘it doesn’t matter.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
I can’t help but long for an adventure after mulling over this quote for a little bit. There are times when the destination doesn’t matter because it truly is all about the adventure. Gathering requirements isn’t one of those times. We need to know where we are going and how we are going to get there. This is where capabilities help in the development process. Simply put, capabilities show your team (current or future) how or why specific objects and automation exist to provide a functionality.
Ultimately, capabilities help you and your team meet the needs of your organization by centralizing all the key information for apps and projects.
This is the birds-eye view. To get the more up-close version, head over to help center to learn more about how capabilities (and Catalio) can help make your life easier.
